This recipe is really simple to do. All you need are 6 simple ingredients to get started and everyone will be chowing down in no time at all.

You can make this for a simple hearty weekend meal or it’s great for St. Patrick’s Day, too. Just gather up the ingredients listed below to get started! 

Ingredients needed to make Crock Pot Beer Steamed Sausages

  • 2 1/2 pounds of uncooked sausage or smoked cooked sausage
  • 24 ounces of bottled beer
  • 1 onion
  • 2 T mustard
  • 2 t Horseradish
  • black pepper to taste

How to Cook Sausages in the Slow Cooker

Brown sausages in a skillet until they have nice color.

Add remaining ingredients together in a crock pot. Stir well.

Add the sausages and stir.

Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours, or until any uncooked sausages (fresh types) are cooked through.

Set on Warm for 1-2 hours during serving, then refrigerate any unused portions.

Tip: Any type of sausage can be used for this recipe. You can also use kielbasa, bratwursts, hot dogs, or bockwurst in the same quantity. I like to serve over Sour Cream Infused Smashed Potatoes. Enjoy!
