The next time you’re wanting something that takes you straight back to your grandma’s kitchen, make this dish. You can choose to serve the stroganoff over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes—whatever your family prefers.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- Cooked egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice
- Sliced mushrooms (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine meat, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook chopped onion in butter until golden in a large skillet.
- Add meat mixture to skillet and brown while stirring.
- Add cream of chicken soup and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add sour cream and heat thoroughly.
- Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice.
If you’re not a fan of beef, you can leave out the beef and replace with cooked mushrooms instead.
You can also add heat by adding some chili pepper or cayenne pepper! Change it up to whatever works for your family’s flavor preferences.
