Turn on your slow cooker, place ingredients inside, and let your house fill with the aroma of an amazing dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 4 turkey thighs (skinless)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or turkey broth)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional for flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat the turkey thighs dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and thyme.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown the turkey thighs on both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side to lock in flavor. (You can skip this step if you’re in a rush.)
  3. Add sliced onions and minced garlic to the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the turkey thighs on top of the onions.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce (if using).
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the turkey is tender and falls off the bone.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or thyme if you like. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite sides!

Tip:

  • For a richer flavor, you can add some carrots, celery, and potatoes to the slow cooker.
