Turn on your slow cooker, place ingredients inside, and let your house fill with the aroma of an amazing dinner.
Ingredients:
- 4 turkey thighs (skinless)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth (or turkey broth)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional for flavor)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Pat the turkey thighs dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and thyme.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown the turkey thighs on both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side to lock in flavor. (You can skip this step if you’re in a rush.)
- Add sliced onions and minced garlic to the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the turkey thighs on top of the onions.
- Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce (if using).
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the turkey is tender and falls off the bone.
- Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or thyme if you like. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite sides!
Tip:
- For a richer flavor, you can add some carrots, celery, and potatoes to the slow cooker.
