Turn up the heat and the flavor with our Spicy Grilled Burgers!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juicy burgers)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 jalapeños, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 burger buns
- Toppings: Lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, etc.
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped jalapeños, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together gently with your hands until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat, as this can make the burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb; this helps them cook evenly.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (160°F internal temperature for medium). If you want cheese, add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover the grill to melt the cheese.
- During the last few minutes of grilling, place the burger buns on the grill cut-side down and toast until lightly golden.
- Remove the patties and buns from the grill. Place the patties on the bottom buns, add your favorite toppings, and cover with the top buns. Serve immediately with your favorite sides like fries, coleslaw, or a salad.
