For those of us of a certain age *ahem* we all remember the creepy murder doll from the 1980s hit horror flick, Child’s Play.
“Hi, I’m Chucky. Wanna play?”
If you, like me, were traumatized as a child by the pint-sized, red-headed, overalls-wearing, knife-wielding demon doll who promised, “we’re friends to the end,” well I’ve got news for you he’s baaaaaack. And he’s in Alabama.
Residents of a quiet town in Alabama were freaked out (understandably so) when a real-life Chucky was seen roaming the streets.
And thanks to social media, the gift that just keeps on giving, we’ve got the pictures to prove it.
(If you still have recurring nightmares of Chucky hiding under your bed, biding his time until he pops out and slashes your ankles, I warn you, these photos may be triggering.)
Kendra Walden posted pics of the Chucky child on Facebook with the caption,
“Dear Parents of the little boy in the chucky costume in Pinson.
GET YOUR KID.… I almost had a heart attack.”
Ohhhh Kendra, I feel you.
The post has garnered over 52K likes, 107K shares, and 16K comments so far.
According to Today, Kendra, who is remodeling a house in the area, was driving with 2 of her employees when she snapped the photos “from a safe distance.”
“Everyone in the car was screaming like little kids. My brother Zack, who is a Marine, was working on this house the day before. His biggest fear in the entire world is Chucky so he would have died on the spot.”
Same, Zack, saaaaaame.

Look, I don’t know about you, but I’m with Kendra on this one. This is legit terrifying. Nothing screams terror like the nightmare fuel of your childhood sauntering the streets.

For those of you who need a little refresher, Chucky first came to life on the silver screen. He was a ‘Good Guys’ doll possessed by the soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray, aka The Lakeshore Strangler.
The original slasher hit spawned an entire franchise that includes six sequels, comic books, a reboot film released in June 2019, a TV series that began airing in October 2021, AND a real-life Chucky-in-training apparently.
Because it turns out, this is not actually Chucky, but a 5-year-old boy named Jackson.
Jackson’s mom, Britnee Reed, told WDHN News that Jackson dressed up as Chucky for Hallowe’en and that he often wears his costume around the house and around the neighborhood.
Reed said:
“That’s just kind of how his personality is. He dresses up in different costumes throughout the week. He loves to make people laugh.”
Or cower in terror, that too.
His mom was first alerted to her son’s stalker shenanigans by a co-worker who saw the post on Facebook and sent it to her, saying it looked like something Jackson would do.
Turned out it wasn’t just something he WOULD do…he did it.
“I zoomed in and said, ‘Oh my goodness,’ that’s my kid.”
Just in case you’re wondering, Jackson wasn’t alone. He had an accomplice – his grandmother – who was watching closely nearby as Jackson did his “neighborhood watch” (and knocked on doors, saying, “Hi, I’m Chucky. Wanna play?” probably.
Thanks to the post going viral, Jackson has amassed quite a few fans. He’s even getting requests to do birthday parties.
However, he’s not letting the fame and notoriety go to his head.
He told reporters:
“Tell them I was a good Chucky.”
Kid, we think it’s safe to say, you killed it.
He also wants to make sure that granny is taken care of. (No, not like that…)
And make sure you send my grandma a copy of the pictures, too.”
